Spencer Mobley
mandolin, vocals
Spencer first heard bluegrass music at a very young age when he attended the concert of a distant cousin who led a regional bluegrass band. During his early years, he listened to everything from modern pop music to fifties rock 'n' roll. Around the age of thirteen, another concert, this time featuring Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, made him catch the "bluegrass bug" and he picked up the mandolin a few months later.
His bluegrass tastes range the spectrum, as well does his other musical tastes which include old blues, beach music, early, classic, modern rock, big band music and tons of other styles. He is currently in his second year studying Public Administration at Campbell University.
Spencer plays a Laura Ratcliff A style mandolin.
